Kevin Symmons - NEVER disappoints!!Chrysalis is a wonderful story of first love, Kevin Symmons has captured this emotion between Paige and Morgan, bringing this reader a trip down memory lane. My being from New England, the descriptions of Cape Cod and Boston were quite familiar as well. Symmons provides the mystery reader with much intrigue surrounding each character. When you think you have the mystery solved, there is a twist and turn. This is a perfect novel to read on a cold winter night, with a hot cup of tea and a cozy fire burning. I would definitely recommend reading CHRYSALIS!

If one wanted to read a well crafted suspense novel, coupled with a tender love story; then look no further. This book delivers on both accounts. Chrysalis was the first book I read by the talented Kevin V. Symmons and all I can say is it certainly won't be the last. Truly a wonderful read!
Kevin Symmons engages the reader from the first moment. Paige is on an unanticipated journey to discover a person she only imagined. Her "chrysalis" carries the reader thru twists and turns that keep the pages turning until at last the beautiful butterfly emerges. Mr. Symmons adeptly creates a plot which ties characters together in a way that even the most avid reader cannot predict. It's not your typical coming of age story, but instead a beautiful, suspenseful tale of a young girl who will take you on an unexpected journey.
Kevin Symmons weaves a gripping summer read with Chrysalis. Summer. Cape Cod. Horses. First love. It doesn’t get much better than that…and yet somehow it does. An element of danger lends a sense of urgency to the story as a maniacal villain plots his revenge with our young lovers in the crosshairs. Added to this is the date— 2001. As the villain draws near, the calendar turns ever closer to that fated September day, leaving the reader to frantically turn pages, wondering whether villain, terrorists or both will destroy the tender new romance. But just when you think you know where the story is headed and how it will play out, another twist takes you by surprise.
The climax, when it comes, is delightfully satisfying. A fascinating cast of characters who stay with you long after the story ends makes this one a keeper you’ll want to read again.
Does anyone truly have everything? Chrysalis a young adult novel by Kevin Symmons confronts this question by examining the lives of an Ivy League golden boy and
the privileged rich girl he desires. Teenage angst is skillfully interwoven with the stark realities of dark deeds and the ultimate payback. Young heroine Paige is a sympathetically drawn character fraught with the typical insecurities of her age who finds the grit and determination to fight for what she wants. Strong plot elements and a dose of suspense keep the reader engaged and avoid the overly saccharine fate of far too many novels in this genre.
Kevin has continued to keep the reader interested in the story - plot, characters , and settings. I have enjoyed all of Kevin's books to date.
Love Kevin Symmons books; read them all and hope there's a new one soon.
I was intrigued from the very first page Chrystal turned out to be a complex character where she started out with the appearance of being a plain Jane character. This book kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next shoe to fall and there were many. My only suggestion is, try it, you will enjoy the ride no pun intended.
